Cookie Policy
This page covers the cookies and similar storage used on victotop.com: what each type does, how long it stays, and how you can turn it off. It applies to the online store only.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. It lets the site remember something between page loads: what is in your cart, which currency you picked, whether you already answered the consent notice. Some clear when you close the tab. Others stay for a set period.
The four kinds we use
| Type | What it does | Who sets it | Can you block it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Keeps your cart together, holds the checkout session, runs security and fraud checks, remembers the country and currency you are shopping in. | Our storefront platform and our store | No. The store cannot take an order without them. |
| Preferences | Remembers choices such as currency or language so you do not have to set them again. | Our store | Yes, but you will re-enter your choices on the next visit. |
| Analytics | Counts visits and shows which pages get used, in aggregate. It does not identify you by name. | Our store, and analytics providers only where they are enabled | Yes. Blocking them does not affect ordering. |
| Marketing | Records whether an ad led to a visit or an order, so ad spend can be measured. | Advertising providers, only where they are enabled | Yes. Blocking them does not affect ordering. |
How long they stay
Session cookies clear when you close the browser. Persistent cookies stay for a set period, from a few days for cart recovery to about a year for a saved preference such as currency. The exact lifetime sits in the cookie itself and you can read it in your browser's cookie viewer.
Your choices
- Browser settings. Every major browser lets you block, list and delete cookies. Blocking the strictly necessary ones will stop checkout from working, so keep those if you plan to order.
- Consent notice. If a cookie notice appeared on your first visit, your answer was saved. Clearing cookies resets it and the notice will ask again.
- Data sharing opt out. Use our Your Privacy Choices page to opt out of data sharing.
Do Not Track
Browsers can send a Do Not Track signal. There is still no agreed standard for how a site should answer it, so we do not treat that signal as a decision. Use the choices above instead.
Changes to this page
When a new tool is added that sets cookies, this page and the date at the top get updated. Nothing gets added silently.
